New York Rangers are expected to fire Gerard Gallant after fight with Chris Drury after Game 4
Going into this season, the New York Rangers had high expectations as an organization and those expectations skyrocketed with the additions they made at the deadline mainly Patrick Kane.
However with the Rangers being eliminated in the first round by the New Jersey Devils, a coaching change could be in order, according to Daily Faceoffs Frank SeravalliThere is more than one reason to believe a coaching change is coming though, specifically after game 4 where General Manager Chris Drury and Gallant were seen having an animated argument.
The rumoured replacement is black-listed coach Joel Quenneville, who still has to receive permission from the league to interview for a job opening.
No wonder it looked like the Rangers players quit on their head coach, it was their way of showing him the door and rightfully so.
